EE-ISAC Advocacy Task Force Meeting in Rome
February 4–5, 2026
On February 4–5, the EE-ISAC Advocacy Task Force (TF) held its first in-person meeting of the year in Rome, hosted by Enel, marking the start of a focused and impactful 2026. The gathering brought together members of the TF, including EE-ISAC Board representatives and experts from members companies, to align on priorities and define concrete actions for the Association’s strategy for the year ahead.
A collaborative, hands-on approach
The two-day meeting went beyond traditional presentations, embracing a dynamic and interactive format. Participants engaged in a structured four-phase brainstorming process, using flipcharts and collaborative working documents to move systematically from assessing EE-ISAC’s current positioning to defining measurable goals and strategic actions. This collaborative approach ensured that the TF priorities are firmly grounded in the operational realities of the energy sector across Europe. A clear objective emerged: to reinforce EE-ISAC’s role as a trusted and crucial voice in European energy policy, supporting regulatory alignment, effective information sharing, and structured vulnerability assessments.
Leadership and teamwork at the core
Strong leadership and collective expertise were central to the success of the meeting. Board members Massimo Rocca (Enel), Nuno Medeiros (E-REDES), and Thomas Krauhausen (E.ON) guided discussions with strategic vision and collaborative focus. Expert contributions from Gabriele De Luca (Enel), Hidde Brugmans (Stedin), and Cornelius Schneider (E.ON) helped refine EE-ISAC’s mission to monitor and contribute to European legislation. Beyond formal sessions, the networking dinner created space for open dialogue, relationship building, and the cultivation of the collaborative spirit that drives EE-ISAC’s core soul.
A roadmap for 2026
The TF outlined the key pillars for its strategic engagement in 2026, among which are:
Advocacy position papers – Targeted publications presenting a unified ecosystem perspective on emerging sector challenges.
Quarterly EU regulation reports – Timely updates to help members anticipate legislative developments and compliance requirements.
Member-driven insights – Surveys and feedback channels to capture real-time operational needs across EE-ISAC’s membership.
Global cooperation – Keeping strong collaboration with the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and international partners such as E-ISAC and JE-ISAC to enhance cybersecurity and resilience at a global level.
