EE-ISAC was proud to take part in the World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER) in Tbilisi, Georgia, with a delegation representing the Association across a series of bilateral meetings with key stakeholders in the energy sector.
During the event, EE-ISAC held dedicated meetings with leading organisations shaping the regulatory landscape of the energy sector, including the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), and the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA). These exchanges offered a valuable opportunity to compare perspectives on cybersecurity resilience, information-sharing practices, and the evolving regulatory frameworks that govern the sector across different regions, and, most importantly, to lay the groundwork for new forms of collaboration going forward.
Nuno Medeiros, from E-REDES and EE-ISAC Board Member, took part in the panel discussion “Cybersecurity and Resilience in Energy Infrastructure,” addressing the DSO approach to cybersecurity and reliability threats in the evolving threat landscape. In his intervention, he also referenced the EE-ISAC’s role in bringing structure to collaboration and information-sharing across the sector, as well as the importance of coordination, trust, and situational awareness in strengthening grid security across multiple regions globally.
WFER Tbilisi offered EE-ISAC a unique vantage point on the regulatory side of the energy sector, reinforcing the Association’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and trusted information-sharing as key pillars of a more resilient and secure energy system.
