The session will be presented by Andrew Ginter, VP Industrial Security at Waterfall Security, on October 20, 2026, at 14:00 CET.
About the webinar
In 2025, 57 cyber attacks caused physical consequences in heavy industry, affecting hundreds of sites. Most attacks were ransomware, but hacktivist, nation-state and other attacks causing consequences in critical infrastructures and the electric sector doubled from the previous year.
In this webinar, Andrew Ginter will analyse the latest attack data in the context of a public dataset of 350+ attacks with physical consequences in critical industrial infrastructures. The data shows changes in both the frequency and nature of attacks, and draws conclusions about what kinds of attacks are reasonable to expect in the near and medium terms.
