EE-ISAC at Las Vegas: Trilateral Meeting & GridSecCon 2025

6-10 October 2025 | Las Vegas, USA

The EE-ISAC is pleased to announce that we will be in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 6 to 10, 2025 for a week of high-level collaboration and cybersecurity engagement.

During this visit, EE-ISAC will take part in the in-person trilateral meeting with the Japan Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (JE-ISAC) and the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC), which will be held on October 6, 2025. The three associations will join forces to discuss joint initiatives, share intelligence and coordinate strategies to protect critical energy infrastructure across Europe, North America, and Japan.

EE-ISAC will also be actively participating in GridSecCon 2025, the premier annual event focused on grid security, hosted this year from October 7 to 10, 2025. We will be represented in the conference program by Board Member Nuno Medeiros (E-REDES), who will participate in the panel “From Trust to Action: Building Global Models for Threat Intelligence Exchange” on October 9 at 11:30 AM (Las Vegas time). This session will bring together international experts to discuss how the energy sector can move beyond building trust towards implementing practical, global models for sharing cyber threat intelligence. Nuno Medeiros will contribute the European perspective, highlighting EE-ISAC’s role in fostering cooperation and strengthening resilience through trusted, cross-border information exchange.

Stay tuned for more updates and insights as we engage with our international partners and contribute to advancing the security of the energy grid worldwide.

The EE-ISAC team was in Las Vegas, Nevada, where we participated in a week of high-level collaboration, learning, and cybersecurity engagement from October 6 to 10, 2025.

As part of our ongoing international cooperation, EE-ISAC representatives joined colleagues from the Japan Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (JE-ISAC) and the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC, North America) for our annual in-person trilateral meeting, hosted by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). This session, opened by CEO Michael Ball and E-ISAC Sr. Advisor Anna Ballance, focused on high-impact topics shaping the future of energy-sector security, including:

  • Planning a joint webinar for Q1 2026 to strengthen knowledge-sharing among members.
  • Reviewing physical security policy guidance recommended by each partner for operators.
  • Comparing hacktivist trends across national landscapes.
  • Exploring insider threats and approaches for monitoring, detection, and mitigation.

For the seventh consecutive year, these in-person gatherings have provided invaluable opportunities to exchange knowledge, learn from each other, and reinforce trusted partnerships across the global energy sector.

EE-ISAC also actively participated in GridSecCon 2025, the premier annual event focused on grid security, held from October 7 to 10. Our Board Member, Nuno Medeiros (E-REDES), contributed to the panel “From Trust to Action: Building Global Models for Threat Intelligence Exchange” on October 9. Moderated by Anna Ballance (NERC) and featuring presentations from Kyle Pfeiffer (Southern California Edison) and Patrick Kennedy (Communications Security Establishment Canada), the discussion highlighted how ISACs and partners advance cross-regional threat intelligence sharing through trust-based relationships, structured data formats, and analyst-to-analyst collaboration.

Key takeaways from the panel included:

  • Collaboration is key: Cross-sector and cross-border sharing strengthens collective cybersecurity resilience.
  • EE-ISAC’s role: Beyond operational sharing via MISP, newsletters, and reports, EE-ISAC enables real-time connection and learning through physical meetings.
  • Advocacy matters: A unified voice amplifies impact at the EU level, with EE-ISAC contributing to initiatives such as the European Grids Package and the Digital Networks Act (DNA).
  • Supporting members: Shared intelligence and resources help SME members expand cybersecurity capacity across Europe.

EE-ISAC is proud to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and advocacy across the energy sector, helping strengthen cybersecurity for all. These events reinforced our commitment to building trusted partnerships and advancing the security of the global energy grid.
