Critical Infrastructure Protection & Resilience Europe

EE-ISAC & CIPRE | 12-14 November 2024 | Madrid, Spain

The EE-ISAC was proud to work in co-operation with the Critical Infrastructure Protection & Resilience Europe (CIPRE), which took place in Madrid on November 12-14, 2024.

The three-day conference allowed participants to be up to date on the latest issues, policies and challenges facing the security of Europe’s critical national infrastructure (CNI), along with gaining an insight into what the future holds for Europe’s critical infrastructure, the collaboration and support between member nations required to ensure CNI is protected from future threats and how to better plan, coordinate and manage a disaster.

Technology is not enough, process design is a must, training and skilling people is critical but cooperation & information sharing are KEY to successfully face the cyber threat challenge.

Cybersecurity is not a game to play alone, and EE-ISAC is the trusted community of energy stakeholders creating a trustful environment for a trusted information sharing on cybersecurity incidents, vulnerabilities and knowledge.

We were also thrilled to announce that EE-ISAC Secretary General, Aurelio Blanquet, moderated the panel Power & Energy (Grid Resilience) Sector Symposium, where representatives of four EE-ISAC members and partners brought insights on the security issues and challenges facing the industry: Simon Guiot (Forescout), Felipe Castro Barrigón (European Commission), Javier Simon (Iberdrola) and Thomas Krauhausen (E.ON – Board Member of EE-ISAC).

New for 2024

The International Association of Critical Infrastructure Protection Professionals (IACIPP) has announced the launch of ‘Critical Infrastructure Protection Week’ in Europe as part of an initiative focused towards enhancing collaboration and cooperation amongst the industry.

The first ‘Critical Infrastructure Protection Week’ will take place in Madrid, Spain and will see IACIPP host the ‘Critical Infrastructure Protection & Resilience Europe’ conference and exhibition and ‘EU-CIP Horizon Project’ conference as the first two events as part of the initiative.
