Swissgrid is implementing for example a continuous monitoring system to rapidly detect and mitigate these risks. This is achieved by using behavioural analytics and anomaly detection algorithms in all the remote and geographically-distributed electrical substations. Most of the infrastructure in substations is for historical reason shared with other DSO’s, what makes the requirement towards information security even more complex.
